Empowering Dental Labs: From the Lab Bench to Marketing Success with DentalLabSupport's Comprehensive Solutions

It Was Never Just About Marketing. It Was About Supporting Dental Labs.

There is a reason we named our company DentalLabSupport.

We could have called ourselves a dental marketing agency.

We could have built a company around lead generation, advertising, websites or sales.

But from the beginning, our vision was bigger than any one marketing service.

The word that mattered most to us was: Support.

DentalLabSupport was created around a simple idea: give dental laboratories access to the marketing knowledge, people, technology and resources they need to compete — without requiring them to build an entire marketing department themselves.

And to understand why that became our mission, you have to understand where we came from.

Our Story Started at the Dental Lab Bench

DentalLabSupport didn't begin inside a traditional marketing agency.

It grew out of the dental laboratory industry.

Our President and CEO, David H. Khalili, grew up around the dental lab bench from a very early age.

His grandfather immigrated to the United States and eventually opened a small dental laboratory in his garage.

It was a small family business.

And David was always around it.

He grew up seeing firsthand what it meant to operate a dental laboratory — the long hours, the relationships with doctors, the pressure of getting cases out, and the enormous amount of work behind every restoration that leaves the laboratory.

When his grandfather eventually retired, David took over the lab and worked to grow the business.

But something interesting happened along the way.

David never considered himself a dental technician.

His passion wasn't necessarily sitting at the bench.

His passion was everything happening around the bench.

Business development.

Marketing.

Sales.

Customer service.

Operations.

And, most importantly, understanding how a small dental laboratory could compete and grow. That experience would eventually become the foundation for DentalLabSupport.

We Learned That Getting a New Dentist Is Only Part of the Story

From the outside, dental lab marketing can sound very simple.

"We'll get you more dentists."

But anyone who has actually operated a dental laboratory knows it isn't that simple.

A new dentist isn't just another name on a sales report.

A dentist-lab relationship takes time to build.

You learn the doctor's preferences.

You learn how they prep.

You learn their expectations.

You learn how their office communicates.

The doctor learns your technicians.

Your team learns their cases.

Trust develops over time.

And sometimes, despite years of building that relationship, only a few difficult cases can put the entire account at risk.

There may be an impression issue.

There may be a preparation issue.

There may be a communication breakdown.

There may be something completely outside the laboratory's control.

But from the doctor's perspective, the lab is often right in the middle of the situation.

That's something a generic marketing company may never fully understand.

We do. Because we've lived it.

More Dentists Isn't Always Better

That experience taught us another important lesson.

Growth has to be managed.

Suppose a marketing company suddenly brings a small laboratory several large new accounts. On paper, that sounds like a huge success.

But what happens if the lab can't absorb the additional workload?

Turnaround times begin slipping.

Technicians become overloaded.

Communication suffers.

Quality can become harder to maintain.

And suddenly the laboratory risks damaging relationships with the dentists it spent years earning.

That's not healthy growth.

Marketing should never create a production problem that damages the existing business.

This is why one of the first things we want to understand when working with a laboratory isn't simply:

"How many new dentists do you want?"

We want to understand:

What kind of growth can your laboratory realistically support?

What products do you want to grow?

What type of dentist makes sense for your lab?

How much additional case volume can your team comfortably handle?

Where do you have production capacity?

Where don't you?

Because successful dental lab marketing isn't about collecting the largest number of leads possible. It's about helping the laboratory create the right growth at the right pace.

Small Dental Labs Deserve Access to Great Marketing Too

This became another important part of our philosophy.

We came from a small dental laboratory.

So we understand the economics of a small lab.

A one-person, three-person or five-person laboratory may not have the budget to hire:

  • A marketing director

  • A graphic designer

  • A copywriter

  • A salesperson

  • A social media specialist

  • A web developer

  • An email marketing specialist

  • A CRM administrator

  • A call center

But that doesn't mean a small laboratory shouldn't have access to those capabilities.

In fact, smaller laboratories may need them even more.

They're competing against larger organizations with bigger marketing budgets, larger sales teams and more sophisticated technology.

From the beginning, one of our goals at DentalLabSupport was to find ways to bring high-level marketing capabilities to dental laboratories at the lowest practical cost possible.

Not by lowering the importance of marketing.

By changing how labs access it.

That Is Where the Idea of "Support" Became So Important

We realized something else from running a dental laboratory:

Lab owners are busy.

Extremely busy.

Even when marketing is outsourced, managing an entire marketing agency can become another job.

Review this design.

Approve this campaign.

Write this content.

Check this list.

Schedule this meeting.

Review this report.

Meanwhile, there are cases that need to go out.

A doctor is calling.

An employee has a question.

A remake needs attention.

A delivery needs to be handled.

And existing clients have to come first.

That's reality inside a dental laboratory.

So we began thinking differently about the traditional agency model.

What if a lab didn't have to purchase an enormous marketing package?

What if it could simply get the support it needed, when it needed it?

Need a postcard designed?

We can help.

Need a landing page?

We can help.

Need an email journey?

We can help.

Need a one-time burst of outbound calls?

We can help.

Need help following up with leads?

We can help.

Need an entire multi-channel campaign?

We can put those individual components together.

And if you already have an internal marketing or sales person?

We can support them too.

That modular approach eventually became an important part of the DentalLabSupport philosophy.

Individual Services When You Need Them. Complete Campaigns When You Need More.

Instead of forcing every laboratory into the same marketing package, we wanted to create individual support capabilities that could work independently or together.

Think of them as building blocks.

A laboratory might only need design support this month.

Later, it may want to add direct mail.

Then email automation.

Then outbound calling.

Then Meta advertising.

Then lead follow-up.

Or all of those components can be connected into one larger campaign.

This allows a laboratory to build its marketing infrastructure around its:

Goals. Capacity. Team. Budget. And stage of growth.

It also helps make sophisticated marketing accessible to smaller laboratories that could never justify building all of these capabilities internally.

We Don't Want to Replace the Dental Lab Owner

Another important part of our philosophy is that the laboratory should remain in control of its growth.

Nobody understands your laboratory better than you do.

You know your technicians.

You know your doctors.

You know your strengths.

You know your production capacity.

You know what types of cases you want more of.

Our role isn't to walk in and pretend we know your laboratory better than you.

Our role is to bring the marketing knowledge, infrastructure and manpower that can help you execute.

Sometimes that means strategy.

Sometimes it means software.

Sometimes it means design.

Sometimes it means picking up the phone.

Sometimes it means building the entire campaign.

That's support.

Why "DentalLabSupport"?

Because those three words describe exactly what we wanted to build.

Dental Lab — because this is the industry we came from and the industry we understand.

Support — because our job isn't simply to sell marketing services.

Our job is to support the people building dental laboratories.

To give a small lab access to resources it couldn't otherwise afford.

To help an established lab organize its marketing.

To give an internal sales representative better tools.

To help a growing laboratory create a campaign without overwhelming production.

To provide expertise when it's needed — without requiring the lab to build everything itself.

And sometimes, simply to be the people a lab owner can call and say:

"I have an idea. How do we make this work?"

We Still Believe in the Small Dental Lab

DentalLabSupport works with laboratories of many different sizes, and we're proud to support growing and established organizations.

But small and mid-sized dental laboratories will always have a special place in our company.

Because that's where we came from.

We understand what it's like when every account matters.

When losing one dentist hurts.

When gaining one great dentist can change the month.

When the owner is also the salesperson, customer service department, delivery problem solver and business manager.

And we believe those laboratories deserve an opportunity to compete.

Technology has changed.

Dentistry has changed.

Dental laboratory production has changed.

Marketing has changed.

But independent laboratories still have something incredibly powerful:

Relationships.

Our goal is to help them build more of those relationships — and protect the ones they already have.

Our Definition of Growth Is Different

We don't believe growth should simply be measured by how many leads a campaign produces.

Real dental lab growth is more balanced than that.

It's finding the right dentists.

Building relationships with them.

Converting those relationships into cases.

Making sure production can support the additional volume.

Protecting existing doctor relationships.

And creating systems that allow the laboratory to continue growing without losing what made it successful in the first place.

Growth should strengthen the laboratory — not overwhelm it.

That philosophy has shaped DentalLabSupport from the beginning.

And it still shapes what we're building today.

It Was Never Just About Marketing

Marketing is what we do.

Supporting dental labs is why we do it.

That's the difference.

DentalLabSupport exists to bring together industry knowledge, marketing expertise, sales support, technology, automation and people — and make those resources accessible to the laboratories that need them.

Whether that's one design project, one campaign, one phone campaign or an entire marketing system.

Because sometimes you don't need another agency.

You just need the right support.

And that's why we named our company:
